I can’t say enough good things about ILS! Our child spent two years here and grew so much in that time, both academically and socially. The staff have high expectations for the kids, but they don’t sacrifice joy and warmth. The curriculum is a wonderful mix of the arts and academics, and the two reinforce one another. When our son started here he only recognized a handful of letters; by graduation he knew over 100 sight words. He also developed an interest in music, and memorized some lines for a play. I’ve visited a number of schools where the kids sit quietly and learn, and it feels unnatural. I’ve also visited schools where everything is boisterous and chaotic, and there’s clearly very little learning going on. ILS manages to allow young people to be joyful, creative, and boistrous, while also setting high expectations for both learning and behavior, and helping them to meet those expectations. The staff at ILS are really the heart of the whole thing. Ms. Molli and Mr. Mike are true gems. Their ability to connect with kids, to find different ways to help them learn, and get them ready for kindergarten are truly special. Teacher Taylor does an amazing job of coaching the kids through theater and dance performances. We feel so lucky to have found ILS. I cannot recommend this program more highly.
We love Illumination Learning Studio! Our son started with their preschool program and progressed onto their Pre-K program. He began private piano lessons during his Pre-K year as well, and performed two piano recitals that took place during their semi-yearly showcase. During his time at ILS, we were constantly impressed with this school and the learning that takes place here. The daily arts focus was such a fun addition to his academic learning. Our son loved having music, yoga, Spanish, drama, and arts lessons weekly and looked forward to coming to class every day. He was well cared for by his teachers and his love of learning really blossomed during his time here. He is now in kindergarten and we feel that ILS truly prepared him to succeed in elementary school academically, socially, and emotionally. We felt like family at ILS, and would recommend this school to anyone looking for a nurturing arts and academics early-learning program for their child.
