Parent Reviews
I would like to share with you how happy my wife and I are with KinderCare and your incredible staff. It might not be obvious to you, but I am known for being hard to please and overly critical. I am so glad our family found such a great home away from home for our children at KinderCare in Placentia. How we ended up at KinderCare is actually ironic. After spending three weeks visiting every daycare facility in the Yorba Linda/Placentia area, my wife and I felt we had made up our mind on where to send our three year old boy and three month old boy. We had made up our minds, the decision was clear; however, we decided to visit one final place, your KinderCare location. Early on in the process, we opted to not consider KinderCare after visiting another KinderCare facility in a different city two years earlier. To widen our scale of reference, I decided we should visit your location. We called ahead and walked in 20 minutes later because it was convenient for my wife and I. Upon walking in the door, I was impressed. We were especially impressed with the layout of the facility, the attention to sanitation and the interaction with the staff and yourself. I knew before I left the building that I was going to vote for KinderCare. My wife, who works in a local hospital, is hypercritical on cleanliness and germs. She was enamored by your facility and sanitation program. Who knew our last impulse tour was going to be the preschool facility we would select. Most importantly, as a parent you want to know your children are safe, being cared for with compassion and discipline while being provided with developmental curriculum. The quality of the food was by far superior than other local preschool's meal plans. We are also impressed by the fact that someone from KinderCare's corporate office will call every so often for feedback! You know your selection was the right one when your son wants to go to school on a Saturday or wants to drive by the school at night.
After researching and visiting every kind of preschool you can think of, I decided to bring my son to KinderCare on Imperial. My criteria for the best preschool was cleanliness, caring staff, safety and good structure for learning. This KinderCare met all my expectations. The teachers continuously show their care for my son. For example, a month ago my son was out because of a high fever. When he was cleared to go back to school, he came back with a very small appetite. He drank so little that he was potentially on the verge of dehydration. The doctor told me to tell the teachers to really encourage him to eat every five minutes and to monitor his wet diapers. I gave the teachers the instructions and they followed it, despite their hectic schedules with the other children. They kept me well informed and at ease all day. The next day he was back to his normal eating habits, but the teachers still kept a close eye on him. Ms. Becca, Ms. Stacy and the teachers feel like my extended family. When I drop off and pick up my son and he has a big smile on his face when he sees the staff, I know that I have chosen the right place for him.
Both of my children attended KinderCare and I have to say the staff, and the school's director, Becca Woolstrum are excellent. My son Dylan attended two years ago and his teacher Mrs. Rita was terrific. He was born with a hearing impairment and our family had a lot of concerns regarding his academics and socialization, but with his teacher's help, he did wonderfully. He made friends, progressed in his studies and went from a shy introverted child in to an outgoing expressive child. We were amazed at how well he did and we had constant contact and updates from his teacher and the rest of the teachers. Our youngest son Drew is in Ms. Halsi's class and he's doing amazingly well. He's learning his colors, songs and doing art projects that are just helping him progress and build confidence. We always feel so reassured that he's in loving hands with Ms. Halsi. And Ms. Becca is a great leader. She runs the school efficiently, she truly cares about the children and she's so easy to talk to about any concerns we may have. Overall I would recommend this KinderCare to anyone who's interested in enrolling their children. This school is top-notch.
