Five stars is not enough to express how essential it was to have Little Buddies Daycare (Sandy and her team) in our family's life. My three children has been cared for and raised by Sandy and team for many years. Our kids started really early with her (one month old). She is incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and very easy to talk to and learn from. I appreciate her patience as she taught my kids how to walk, toilet train, and feed themselves. The food is always delicious. They always come home clean and well taken care of. I always see so many photos of their various adventures during the day. She was also very patient with us as new parents; teaching us all her life hacks, how to get the kids to sleep, how to calm them down, how to nurse a cold, etc. She helped us go through so many milestones and has been a huge part of our family. We keep in touch with her to this day - our kids still remember her very fondly as "Sandy yee-yee". They're now thriving 13, 10, and 6 years old.
We can't recommend Little Buddies Day Care enough! Our twins started at daycare from 8 months old until they "aged out" and went to preschool. Sandy and her team are attentive, kind, consistent, and amazingly involved with each child in their care. We received daily photos and updates, which helped so much. Our babies *loved* Little Buddies Day Care and still ask to go back even though they are about to enter kindergarten. We are always amazed at how much Sandy loved and cared for our babies. We are so grateful!!
My daughter went to Little Buddies Day care when she was 3 months old for 2 and half years! Sandy is a really nice, kind and patient day care giver! I am so lucky to have her as my daughter day care giver! She provided different of fresh food every day to the kids! My daughter now is 10 years old and she still remember her food was healthy and delicious!(better than Mommy cook) ! She also helped my daughter potty training! I did not need to worry about it! My daughter grew up healthy and happy! Sandy always answer my questions promptly and detail even though my daughter no longer at her day care! If they allow me to give more stars, I will give her million ⭐️
I recommend Little Buddies Daycare to anyone looking for a small, loving, home-based Cantonese-immersion care that focuses on comfort and transitions! Sandy is an experienced early care educator who is as close to family care as you can get. She is straightforward and easy to work with. The daycare is licensed for a small number of kids and the area is clean and confined so the children are supervised closely. She provides daily snacks and delicious, homemade meals that the kids love (I can never get him to eat as well at home). I was nervous about my second child going to daycare at 8 months because he had a milk intolerance and was still only able to nap if held. Sandy took him in and within a day, she somehow got him to nap in the playpen without being held! She patiently patted him to sleep until he could fall asleep independently. She was also careful about keeping dairy out of his diet and when he transitioned off formula, she went above and beyond to provide him plant-based milk! He has since grew out of his intolerance, but I felt really comforted knowing how careful she was with his food sensitivity. Little Buddies has a lot of different toys to keep the kids entertained through group and independent play. Sandy rotates toys regularly and encourages their different interests. There is no outdoor playtime due to space and staffing limitations, which worked well for me because I preferred him being at home and within safe limits. She led physical activities like running, dancing, crawling, and climbing within the playarea. My son stayed with Little Buddies until he was around 3. Sandy supports families getting ready for the big preschool. transition. She helped him socialize with other kids, start the process of potty training, nap independently in a sleeping cot, eat meals at a group table, and follow basic instructions. Overall, we are really grateful for Little Buddies Daycare and my son has fond memories of Sandy.
I’m not related to this site, my daughter attended Sandy’s daycare since she was 6 months old. Sandy’s care was wonderful, she would be a hat on for my daughter to prevent illness during the cold & flu season. This was in 2013. I would not be able to work with three kids without Sandy’s help. Forever indebted to her.
The Best Daycare You’ll Ever Find in Daly City I moved into my neighborhood in mid-2017, worried about finding the right daycare for my three-year-old daughter. Just a few houses down, I noticed a daycare sign and decided to check it out—that’s when I first met Sandy. From the very beginning, she was incredibly warm, welcoming, and professional. She took the time to show me around, answer all my questions, and encouraged me to bring my daughter to meet her. The very next day, my daughter visited and immediately felt at home. She stayed with Sandy for about three years, and when my second daughter came along, she also spent three wonderful years there. Sandy genuinely cares for the children and treats them like family. She keeps parents updated daily with photos, details of meals, and activities. She is always quick to respond, even on weekends, and makes sure every child naps, eats well, and feels comfortable. Somehow, she even got my kids to eat vegetables—something I could never manage at home! This daycare is more than just childcare; it’s a safe, nurturing, and loving environment where kids thrive. If it weren’t for the natural transition to preschool, I would have happily kept my children with Sandy even longer. Sandy is truly one of the most caring people I’ve ever met. Any parent would be lucky to have their children in her care. This is without a doubt a hidden gem in Daly City.
I can’t thank Sandy enough for the amazing care she provided for my son. I love she create such memorable and engaging learning experiences, my son is always excited he’s learned with us at the of of the day, she truly made us feel like family, making pick-up and drop-off a warm experience. We will miss seeing everyone on a daily basis and highly recommend this daycare!
Both of my children, a boy and a girl, started at Little Buddies Daycare since they were eight and nine months old and stayed until they entered preschool. Sandy provided a loving, safe, and enriching environment for babies and toddlers, and she worked with new parents like me to make sure they developed a regular feeding and napping schedule at first, then advance to solid foods, walking, talking, playing with others, potty training etc. She was there to provide guidance and shared observations all the way. I always feel safe and supported having my kids there. They learned to take care themselves and how to behave with other kids. I greatly appreciate the social emotional learning environment Sandy provided, especially during COVID. Thank you .
