We love Little Canaan Montessori Preschool! We joined the Little Canaan community when our daughter was 2.5 years old. At the time she didn’t understand or speak English, has never slept away from home and was about to welcome a new sibling into her life. We could not imagine finding a more loving and caring environment to help her face up to all those challenges. The teachers enthusiastically guided us through potty training and patiently cared for her when she broke her leg. She has been thriving there ever since, growing into an independent, polite and caring toddler that always speaks of her teachers and classmates with respect. Their days are filled with learning through original and fun activities (cooking, sports, dance parties…). We especially appreciate the small class sizes and individual attention given to every child. Thank you Little Canaan for being her home away from home!

We just completed our first year at Little Canaan. We started with Summer play care (their summer program) during COVID riddled 2020 and Ms. Maria and staff saved us. Our daughter was able to learn, have fun and thrive during a pandemic. Our daughter loved it so much - we continued through the school year and now back on to Summer play care again! We feel so lucky to have found this wonderful neighborhood school. Ms. Maria is a very special teacher, she and her staff go above and beyond.

Absolutely love the school! Its relatively new so don't be concerned with lack of reviews as they continue to grow. Our son has been going to Little Canaan for the past year and is thriving. During the pandemic we felt supported and so grateful to be part of such a wonderful community. Ms Maria and Ms Kimberley have a vested interest in each child and really focus on their development. They helped finalize his potty training and support his independence. In addition to learning traditional didactics (numbers, letter, shapes) the Montessori education also helped my son focus and enjoy tasks. He now loves to help prepare food and even clean up! But most of all he loves going to school to see all his friends and always comes home with new stories, art, and dance moves. Highly recommend this small neighbor school.

Our son started at Little Canaan Montessori the week he turned 2. Maria worked with us to build a smooth transition for him and it worked so well - he absolutely loves it here. The care is top notch and the kids are safe there - that's most important. Beyond this, Maria goes above and beyond to send pics and video of our son doing various activities which we love. The activities are Montessori based and truly teach the kids a ton. Our son's language has skyrocketed, his interest in focusing on a certain activity has improved, as have his manners. We love that the school offers 5 days a week for part time (we are 8:55-2:55) but most kids go from 8:45-4:45 so it's a great option for working parents. Our son's room is now fully decorated with the amazing art pieces that he is sent home with - such special keepsakes to have. I highly recommend this school for your child, it's been truly amazing for our son.
