I can not recommend Teacher Jan enough! She is the perfect blend of compassionate caretaker and provider of healthy structure. My daughter has completely thrived since we started at Magic Palette. She is so happy and polite and is developing an amazingly clever vocabulary. Jan has even taught me some helpful tips in dealing with my little girl which have seriously helped me and given me more confidence in my parenting. 10/10 highly recommend!

Magic Palette is the sweetest introduction to care away from the home that we could have hoped for. Our son began daycare at 2 and 1/2 and had anxiety about being away from his mommies. He chose Jan's care out of all the ones we visited. The second we walked in to Magic Palette he began playing. At other schools he would walk in the door and immediately exclaim, "Go Home!". Jan is kind, patient, and respectful with all her students. She allows students to transition and learn the routines at their own pace. Our son was role playing school, even pretending to be Jan, and asking to go to school on the weekends in no time. She provides a variety of learning experiences, all hands-on and child centered. The small setting and Jan's quiet guidance facilitates community and sweet bonds among all the children. As two educator mommies, we have been thrilled with our time at Magic Palette and look forward to continuing to see our son's growth with Jan.

About ten years ago, Jan started Magic Palette daycare preschool after leaving the preschool where she taught. It is play based. For 2 year olds to pre K. The children have yoga twice a week. A gymnast comes in to teach once a week. It has a wonderful outdoor space for growing sunflowers, other flowers and vegetables. Lots of outdoor play make up part of the children's day. There are also animals to care for, art projects, cooking, and science activities. I give Jan and her business my highest recommendation.
