Parent Reviews
I have my fair share of daycare experiences with my first born and just so happy to have found Ms. Vicki for my second one. My daughter stayed with her since she’s 4 months old and till she goes to Kindergarten. Some people perceive that they’re still young and all they do is play but Ms Vicki have proven that it’s very important that the kids have a good foundation regardless how young they are. The way Ms. Vicki runs her daycare is very structured. She has a daily routine/schedule with the kids. She really puts in effort to make sure that the kids are nurtured in all aspects and that they’re developing appropriately. The kids activities are very well thought of, she’s very mindful to the kids development. To name a few that I still appreciate up to now, I love how my daughter sees learning fun rather than a task that needs to be done. I’ve also seen how Ms Vicki uses the time well and that there are flash cards on the table while they’re eating/snacks so learning comes natural and fun to these kids. Ms Vicki also provides healthy meals and my daughter is not a picky eater (I myself is picky eater during my younger years and so happy that my daughter isn’t). I love how screen time is also regulated and if they do it is all about learning, me and my daughter still watches the same learning shows together up to now and plays bubble guppies music in the car - it became our favorite. My daughter had a good friend while with Ms Vicki and they both went to Kindergarten/TK at the same school. They both received student of the month award on their first month in school. A true confirmation on how Ms Vicki works with the families to get the kids be well rounded and ready for school. Until now my daughter asks to come see and visit Ms Vicki and we still do. I can keep on going on how wonderful she is and our family is truly grateful to have known her and have her as part of daughter’s early years! She is such a gem!
I recommend Miss Vicki's daycare 10000%. What a blessing it's been! My husband and I are very, very lucky to have Miss Vicki care for our son. When looking for a daycare, I visited 14 at-home daycares in the East Bay, all having different perks but then I found Miss Vicki's, here on Winnie and reached out! We had a quick video call and I stopped by to what I found was the cleanest, most organized, structured, and safe daycare. I had been doing elimination communication with my son since he was born so when I brought it up, she knew exactly what I was referring to, which I found to be a relief! She was the only one that knew what I was talking about! Then when she shared with me a list of 20+ families I could contact whom I could ask further questions to in making my final decision, I knew that she'd be the perfect daycare for us. As a first-time parent, I learned so much from her from Day 1. For instance, when my son was starting to walk, she would point out things about my son and the way he would start walking, asking whether he was in one of those activity centers that went around in circles, and she was right! We then worked on my son's gait together, she gave me tips on how we can help strengthen his legs. The food she prepped for my son also took such a big burden off me. It was healthy and provided a variety of exposure to different flavors, cultures, and more which I can see helps kids be less picky. I know that he's a really good eater because of Vicki's thoughtful and variety of foods! Now, we are starting potty training and she provided many resources with her commentary to ensure the process is smooth. My son is picking up on it already because she was working with him in the weeks prior! Lastly, our son is 26 months but he already knows the alphabet, his numbers from 0-50, can read 3 letter words, knows the months of the year and days of the week, preschool songs, and loves puzzles. Miss Vicki knows each little that is in her care and with our son, he has so much fun learning from Vicki. He looks forward to seeing her every day. :) Partnership between the daycare and parents is so critical to the child's success and we are very happy and thankful to have been with Vicki this entire time. Seriously, very big thank you, Vicki, for all your love and care for the littles and especially our son. You help set them up with confidence and ambition. It's amazing to see my son change, learn and grow because of you.
My wife and I had our son at Ms. Vicki’s for over 4 years. It can be difficult for a parent to let the first born be in someone else’s care. However, I couldn’t be more impressed with the warm and care she showed my son. The program was structured and provided us with constant updates on his development and progress in the program. I couldn’t imagine a better daycare to put my son in.
Miss Vicki is the BEST! My sons started going to her daycare when they were 1 and 8. She was a wonderful teacher and you can tell she loves what she does. My youngest son was in her care full time until we moved out of the area when he was 7 and she continued to care for my older son when needed. I worked full time and didn’t have much quality time for my boys. She taught my youngest so much, From reading to writing and she was essential in him getting potty trained. She is the absolute best. Being a parent you constantly worry about your child. With Miss Vicki you will have no worries.
Miss Vicki is absolutely wonderful!! My son started going to Miss Vicki at two and stayed until he started TK. It's hard to find someone you feel truly comfortable leaving your child with but I would recommend Miss Vicki again and again. She provides a structured, clean, educational and loving environment. My son still talks about going back to visit her. She's the best!
3 of my Grandbabies went to Miss Vicki's Child Care. I had the pleasure of picking them up on Friday afternoons. I loved getting to see how Miss Vicki interacted with all the children! Typically I arrived when they were sitting at a group table for snack time. Miss Vicki was always so organized and all the children seemed to be very happy. Often times, the children didn't even want to leave, which is a great sign! I would highly recommend Miss Vicki to anyone looking for a great place to have their children taken care by someone like Miss Vicki
Miss Vicki is amazing! She took care of all my 3 kids!! She helped me potty all my kiddos! She runs a clean and structured in home daycare. We were with Miss Vicky for 7 years.
I was referred to Miss Vicki by a friend, whom three children had attended her daycare years before. We were looking for an in-home daycare provider in which our children were not just a number. As parent we go through so much anxiety and guilt not being able to stay home and be with our babies. Miss Vicki gives us such peace of mind that they are in a safe, positive, and loving environment. She is super attentive to the children under her care and she potty trains the kiddos (huge plus-lot of daycare DO NOT provide that help)! We love all the arts/crafts activities and explorations they experience along side with her. My eldest son stayed with her for 2.5 years and my youngest is with her for 4 years. She encourages the kids be independent but also make them feel comfortable to ask for help if needed. She is extremely honest, detailed, and will provide great feedback on your child's progress and how we can consistently work together to help our children in their development. The day our youngest leaves her daycare to start kinder will be so bitter sweet. She has become such a big part of our children's life and growth..we will definitely miss her. I totally recommend her to my friends and family. Thank you Miss Vicki!!
Miss Vicki came into our lives when a previous daycare provider said my sone had some "issues" and needed help. I was referred to Miss Vicki by a friend. She assessed my son and said he was a smart little boy and on track for his age. He stayed with Miss Vicki for two years and thrived! She did activities, provided healthy breakfast and snack. They played games, did arts and crafts and lots educational activities. She helped with potty training as well. We moved out of the area and when he got to his pre-school, the teacher said he was so advanced. My son is now 24 years old, a successful college graduate with his masters degree and a TV news anchor. We have gone back to visit Ms. Vicki over the years and referred others to her child care center. If you are looking for a loving, fun and educational extension of your home- then this is the place for your child.
I cannot say enough about how thankful I am to have found Ms. Vicki as my son's day care provider 9 years ago. My son went to Ms. Vicki from the time he was 4 months old until he started preschool at age 4. The care she gave my son was unmatched from anything I could have expected. She keeps a great schedule and provides healthy meals. She set an amazing foundation for my son that had prepared him to excel in preschool and early elementary school years. You know she has had an impact on my son and family's life when my son continues to ask to visit.
Ms. Vicki is an AMAZING provider! My 2 children grew up in her daycare and also my grandson! She is very structured, organized, provides the best healthy homemade meals! The best thing is the preparation for educational learning that she taught and the consistency of her help in potty training! Thanks to Ms. Vicki she made the life of a full time working mom and dad's job so much easier with all her help! Thank you Ms. Vicki!
We were recommended to Miss Vicki’s Child Care Program by family & friends as soon as I became pregnant! I was encouraged to make contact as soon as possible so we could be added to the waiting list. This was very new to us, being new parents, but we knew that we needed to meet Miss Vicki and visit her Child-Care home-based program. When we met, she shared her numerous years of experience, presented us with her expectations and asked about our expectations in return. It was very important to her that this was a good fit for our family, the children in the program and herself. I really love that quality about her. She is kind, professional and thorough. You can tell from the moment you meet her – she is fully immersed into her profession because she genuinely enjoys and loves working with little ones! We were fortunate that a spot became available for our daughter in early 2020. Our daughter was 1 years old when she started and Miss Vicki did an amazing job at sending pictures throughout the day and updates. For a certain period, Miss Vicki sends home daily reports (how she ate, her mood, new things she’d say or do, diaper changes etc.) and this was a great way to see how my daughter was adjusting to a new environment and if this partnership was working for all of us. As a new parent, this transition weighs on your heart, however I will always be so thankful that I started this journey with Miss Vicki! She teaches our daughter everyday – confidence, motor skills, social skills, academic skills (colors, shapes, letters, words etc. depending on age development) singing, how to be a kind friend, how to get moving with dance and exercise, independence, creating artwork, currently incorporating potty training and many other fun and exciting new things! She continues to provide guidance and helpful tips to create a consistent environment from our home to child care each day. This is beyond helpful when making a routine for your child if desired. When COVID became an additional hurdle for everyone – emotionally, physically and mentally, Miss Vicki was awesome at adapting, remaining open and implementing safe policies and procedures that were in alignment with child care licensing. She created a safe and healthy place for our daughter during this time and it only reinforced how comfortable I felt dropping my daughter off each morning as I went to work. My daughter is 3 years old now and still attending. Our second child will be attending soon and I couldn’t be happier to continue our journey with Miss Vicki! She is loved and we are so grateful for the care she provides!
Both of my children went to Miss Vicki’s from the time they were infants until they were old enough to go to preschool. Vicki is loving and kind and does a wonderful mix of play along with helping children gain skills to get them ready to move in to preschool. I could go to work each day knowing my children were safe, cared for and happy. I’d highly recommend Miss Vicki’s!
I can't say enough about Vicki - she took care of my two babies when they were babies :). I was so lucky to have found her (she was recommended by a good friend) and I, in turn, have recommended her to as many people as possible as well! She's very caring, sweet, a fantastic teacher, helped my kids with their potty training, provided advice when needed and just all around a wonderful person to have look after your kids. My husband and I never had to worry about our kids' safety, which is a blessing for two working parents. Highly recommend!
Vicki is amazing! Leaving my baby to go back to work but Vicki made the transition so seamless. She is so wonderful at giving picture and message updates throughout the day, as well as a detailed written summary sent home. She has so much great experience, and I trust her implicitly! Cannot recommend Ms. Vicki’s daycare enough!
