Our previous preschool closed suddenly and we were forced to seek an alternative school quickly for our son. My wife and I decided to widen our search for schools that actually offered academic instruction as well as emotional support due to the sudden change for our son. After researching about 11 schools, we found what were looking for. We were so glad to have found Mountain Boulevard Montessori as we had never even heard about it previously. We could not believe that it has been in operation since 1983. We explained that we needed a little extra TLC due to this unforeseen change in caregivers. On our tour, the director Eleni took over 90 minutes to listen intently to our concerns and explain the goals for students completing their kindergarten program. The fact that Eleni went into such details calmed our concerns. We can only say that if parents take the time to do even minimal research, you might be pleasantly surprised like we were.
Their reading program is the best we’ve found. It was amazing to see our son begin to sound out words he was looking at. We are working with the staff at Mountain Boulevard Montessori to encourage and help at son at home. When a child reads, the world is an open book.
