From the time my daughter was just 6 months old until shortly before her third birthday, Camia provided so much more than childcare. She created a loving, nurturing environment where my daughter felt safe, valued, encouraged, and celebrated. What truly sets Camia apart is her genuine love for the children in her care and her commitment to helping each child reach their fullest potential. She recognized my daughter’s unique gifts and natural love of learning early on and intentionally made time for enrichment activities that challenged her curiosity and supported her development. Equally meaningful was Camia’s willingness to partner with us as parents. When she wanted to better understand how to support our daughter’s social-emotional development, she took the initiative to meet with her dad and me so we could work together on strategies to help her grow. That level of thoughtfulness, communication, and individualized attention meant the world to us. Camia also understood that learning extends beyond the four walls of a daycare. She regularly created opportunities for the children to explore the world around them through field trips and meaningful experiences that expanded their knowledge and curiosity. Although my daughter has since transitioned to pre-kindergarten, I see the lasting impact of Camia’s care every day. Patty Cake Daycare has been a fantastic experience for our family. Our son started attending Patty Cake when he was just over a year old. He is now almost 3, and he has grown so much through Ms. Camia’s care. She has been with him through walking, early words, and now potty training, and has been a constant, supportive presence the whole time. Camia is a wonderful partner in supporting our son’s growth and education. She is organized, quick to communicate with parents, and solution-oriented. We feel so comfortable entrusting our son to her care. Ms. Camia has created a great environment that is built on play, learning, and structure. She is committed to the strong routines that help toddlers thrive. She incorporates exercises that support phonics, literacy, numbers, and other core early building blocks for little minds. The kids also explore their creativity through fun tactile art projects and have a great space for outdoor play. Camia sees each child in her care and treats them as unique, growing, little people. She works hard to make the kids feel special, like on their birthdays, and also helps them grow their social skills by teaching them to share, communicate, and be good friends. Our son is always excited to see Camia and the other children at daycare, and we are so grateful to have found Camia. If we had to make the choice again about where to send our son for daycare, we would choose Patty Cake Daycare again.
