A laboratory preschool that allows children to interact with students at Point Loma Nazarene University. Some of the enrichment provided by the college students are: child nutrition students present mini-nutrition lessons and ask children to judge sample meals; physical education students for preschool and elementary school students plan and lead games, motor development, and rhythmic activities; art methods students work with the preschool students to explore methods of art. A teacher prepared environment allows children to choose areas that interest them: writing center, process-oriented art, listening centers, science exploration, sensory activities, block building, dramatic play, puzzles, games, books, math readiness activities, and language- and print-rich activities.
