Safari Kid (Redwood City)
Open today 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Description provided by the business. At Safari Kid, we believe childhood should be celebrated. Our proprietary preschool curriculum takes inspiration from a mix of both traditional methods (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf). This has resulted in a focus on the whole child, where we offer the perfect balance of learning and play. Our programs are carefully developed to ignite curiosity and encourage lifelong learning, but it doesn’t end there! We also offer an after-school program for children in kindergarten through 8th grade, which provides a combination of valuable academic support and engaging extra-curricular enrichment.

Parent Reviews
The Good - The center is meticulously clean and well run, Shanu, the director, is professional, kind, and runs a very tidy ship. The decor is modern and minimalist, and classrooms are well designed. Priyanka was also very nice and kind to our son, but unfortunately she stepped away soon after we started. The Bad - Teachers. We were not fans of the teachers for the infants programs and they did not make us feel welcome. They were almost all Spanish speaking and gave us dirty looks during drop off and pick up. They didn't communicate much and would be speaking spanish amongst one another during this time. Often they would take the babies and toddlers out with no jackets on despite it being cold. I had to send multiple reminders. Our son came down with illnesses and hives non stop while attending. Before the program he was a very healthy child. He also began to refuse to eat or drink at daycare and started showing behavioral problems after attending for just a month and a half. He did not thrive in this environment and we decided to pull the plug. Perhaps the older age groups programs were better but it was a bad experience for us. Better quality teachers would've probably helped for the type of center that Safari Kid strives to be.
