Parent Reviews
My family and I just moved from Los Angeles to San Diego and were looking for a daycare for our four-year-old daughter. I visited with eight other facilities close to home and work, but none of them provided the “total package” we were looking for. We were ready to settle on a daycare that was just “okay”, since we rationalized that my daughter would be graduating to Kindergarten in four months, but I decided to stop by KinderCare just to make sure we covered all of our options. And I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a teacher using her break time to go over a fun activity she was preparing for the class. She then directed me towards Danielle to go over any questions I had about the facility. Danielle was so helpful and “bubbly” and took her time to explain goals, instruction, schedules, etc. to make sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed. Mind you, I didn’t have an appointment, but at no point did I ever feel like I was rushed. They sincerely valued the opportunity to give me all the information I needed in order to make the best decision for my family. One thing that really caught my attention was, when I went to see the class my daughter would eventually be attending, the students were so engaged and attentive to a story the teacher was telling. As a matter of fact, ALL of the students were sitting, listening and focused on the story and not distracted by even a passerby like myself. This was important to me as it gave me an idea of how the teacher can captivate a student’s imagination, while creating an environment of learning, structure, discipline, entertainment, knowledge and trust. It also helps to know that my daughter’s would-be teacher won educator of the year! It’s been approximately two months since my daughter was enrolled and started school at KinderCare. I am happy to say that she absolutely LOVES it! She’s told me several times that she loves going to school, she loves the teachers and immediately made friends with the other kids (even though she didn’t know some of their names). Enrolling our daughter at KinderCare was one of the best decisions we’ve made.
Hello KinderCare,<br /> My name is Ian. I've asked my mom to help me write this letter since I'm still learning how to use a pencil. I want to start by staying that I love my friends in my class. They are my best friends. I even consider my teachers to be my best friends. I even like playing with them and I think Miss Bibi is fun too. They take very good care of me. They help me with art, they read to me, they help me with my social skills (mostly because social skills are still pretty new for me), they help me eat, and they are even helping me with potty training! My mom loves that part! They are patient and don't give up on me when I've had a hard day. Best part is, they always tell my mom when I've had and exceptionally good day! That means I get an apple crusher or a chocolate milk! That rocks! I've learned a lot in my class and I'm growing up so fast. It's so important for kids like me to feel well taken care of. It helps us establish trust and also a sense of confidence! I know one day I will have to leave KinderCare, but I hope my teachers always remember how much I appreciated them. OK. I have to go to bed now... Thank you KinderCare! -Ian
KinderCare has been such a great experience for our family. Our daughter has learned so much and we've made such wonderful friends. We even do play-dates with other families on the weekends! The staff is knowledgeable and very personable. The whole Scripps Ranch KinderCare team made my transition to San Diego and our first Preschool experience very easy.
