Parent Reviews
Our son loved attending Seabird. Seabird provided a safe and creative learning environment for our son's first experience in daycare/preschool. They offered a multitude of varied activities and opportunities for play and learning. We enjoyed getting photos of our son participating in art, drawing, writing, story-time, running, building, etc. during his day. There was a balance of structure for him to learn and plenty of variety and imaginative activities all year long. We recommend Seabird highly to parents looking for a safe, fun, and growth-centered environment. You will love the teachers, curriculum, and the Seabird community.
Seabird Preschool has been a part of my family's life for several years now -- through my daughter's babyhood and now my son's. We came here after depending on childcare through nannies and caregivers did not work out. Since then the school has become the most stable, structured, and nurturing childcare situation my family could have had, allowing us to work and function without worrying about where the kids are and what they are doing. For families with young kids, the preschool partnership is the most important one your family can have during the toddler years. The school is and always has been impeccably clean and modern. The teacher : student ratio ensures that each child gets individualized attention and 1-1 time frequently throughout the day. They really get to know and understand each child closely. Through the pandemic, there was excellent communication, clear expectations and smart guidelines. The toddler times are already difficult years for young families. Having trusted caregivers do everything they can to keep the kids safe and healthy made all the difference for my family in getting through those very trying years. My children entered preschool as tantrum-prone, emotional 2-year olds, and emerged as kind, curious, well-socialized, and happy kids. My daughter came home with new songs and ideas to tell me about every day. My son developed building skills and a deep interest in letters and shapes most recently. Recounting what they've learned at Seabird is the delight of my day.
Our daughter has been going to seabird for the past 1.5 years and she’s been loving it. She has built amazing social skills and made friends. We love that they keep sending us photo updates via brightwheel and we love that we keep getting weekly curriculum updates. Teachers Clark and Jennefer have been the best teachers.
My daughter has attended Seabird for the past two years and we couldn’t be happier with the teachers, curriculum, facilities, and the kiddo/parent community. We will miss it terribly when she goes off to kindergarten next year and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exceptional daycare or preschool. I was very stressed about finding the right childcare for my daughter after having stayed home with her for two years, but this place made it very easy for us to make the transition; I trusted them then and I still do. Seabird has absolutely prepared my daughter for school next year; it has taught her confidence, how to foster friendships and navigate conflict resolution (which is always apparent and impressive when we’re out at playgrounds and aquariums with other kids), and leadership as well. I highly and wholeheartedly recommend it.
This school is really amazing. Our son has been at seabird for about 8 months and we are constantly impressed by the way they operate. They do fun arts activities everyday that our son loves, and they have themes each week of things the kids are learning about. They send us photos and updates daily which we look at together at dinner to review the day. They provide great feedback about our sons development in different learning areas so we know what to work on with him at home. I’m so glad we chose this school after looking at quite a few.
Andrea, thank you for entrusting your children with us, we will continue to do a great job with your child and all our students. We appreciate any feedback that you continue to give us.
We were looking for a preschool in downtown SF for a while. We are very happy that we found Seabird. The facility is brand new, the teachers are very nice and caring and our little one loves going there. We attended a few open houses first so it was an easy transition for us. The two classrooms are beautifully designed to cater to the needs of the kids. The outdoor playground is amazing. A little oasis right in the middle of the city! The program for the kids is well balanced which shows the deep experience of the director Mei and her staff. We are very happy that we found Seabird and that our little one has a lot of fun.
Our daughter (2.5) just started at Seabird this month. They are amazing! It is brand new, and the teachers are so engaging. This summer they are working on a new “theme” each week. Week one was cooking, week two is space....so far so great! My daughter is talking more (which she already was a chatter box), singing more, and certainly learning a lot in a fun, play based environment. The teachers are great and they keep us up to date throughout the day on the brightwheel app. We are very happy with our choice!
This is a very nice new preshool with a very comfortable location. Short walk from Transamerica - it’s easy for parents working in downtown. The place has beautiful spacious rooms, big outdoor playspace which is rare for the city. There is no wait list right now. Great value for money.
