Sherith Israel Preschool is a community-based preschool where families participate in weekly Shabbat services, monthly Tot Shabbat dinners, and holiday celebrations. We spend the majority of our day outdoors at Layette Park. Our highly trained professional teachers develop a curriculum using the Jewish calendar to examine the connection between humans and nature. Our curriculum embraces children’s natural curiosity and innate abilities. We have a Reggio & Waldorf influence pulling from multiple perspectives to ensure a well-rounded learning experience.

Sherith Israel Preschool is more than what we were looking for. Outdoor learning opportunities help the children grow and learn about the world around them, especially since they will be indoors for most of their lives. Learning about how Judaism combines with nature has brought a love of religion to our child. In addition, the teachers are thoughtful, hands-on and communicative with the students and parents. Our child constantly talks about his friends, teachers, daily adventures and educational experiences. We highly recommend this preschool!
