Spencer Creek Farm School

Spencer Creek Farm School has been an exceptional place for our children. They eagerly look forward to going to school each day and have developed a deep fondness for Emily and the other teachers. Our children have acquired numerous skills, including effective problem-solving with peers, which is evident in their harmonious interactions at home. Emily has consistently demonstrated kindness and understanding whenever our children face challenges, and her proactive communication with families is highly commendable.

I thoroughly read through Emily's (the founder and main teacher) website and my husband and I met with her a couple of times before placing our daughter at Spencer Creek Farm School. We are beyond happy with Emily and the school. My daughter is flourishing. Communication has been excellent, we love Emily's experience and philosophies and trust her care. My daughter LOVES going to school (she has been in other situations where this was definitely not the case). We're so grateful we found this school!

The school’s only teacher claims 15 years of experience anytime an issue is brought up rather than addressing what is in need of attention. She is ultimately not focused on what is best for the children and families she serves when it comes to clear, fair, and and equitable tuition policies relative to school closures in addition to issues with prioritizing the health and safety of the children she cares for. She takes advantage of a vague policy that allows her to close school at will to take time off for her own family’s needs. She does not have a plan in place for providing clean and cool air space during wildfire smoke and heat events and is not providing adequate space for the number of children she is trying to fit into the yurt she uses as a classroom. Her focus is on the success of her business and her family’s well-being and livelihood at the expense of the families she serves.
