Parent Reviews
We have been sending our son to Sunflower daycare for about a year now. Being first time parents, we were very anxious about everything, but Amy put our minds at ease with plenty of photos and daily verbal reports. We really appreciate Amy's attention to detail and excellent communication. Over time, we saw so much growth in our son and we credit a lot of it to his daycare. If you're on the fence about it, consider their part time drop in rates. We did that for about 2 months before going full time, just to ease into the routine. Our son is excited to go to daycare to see Amy and his friends. After he started to talk, we get a glimpse of his positive connections he made while going to daycare. Overall, recommended from these parents here.
Our LO has been at Sunflower Daycare since she was 18mo (now 3.5yo). Amy is a great teacher and caregiver, and is assisted by her husband Peter. I’m always impressed with the creative and intentional ways that she works on age-appropriate skills using the appropriate tools and toys. She has helped my LO learn social skills like sharing and taking turns, as well as self-help skills, which has made home life so much easier! Amy has a way of instilling joy in learning. In the past year, Amy has taught our LO to how to use a spoon AND chopsticks, and they are now starting to work on writing their name and numbers. My LO comes home singing songs in both English and Mandarin, and has even learned over 40 Chinese characters! Amy is always thinking of their academic skills, but also plans fun activities outdoors (e.g. digging in the sandbox, soccer, potato sack races, egg hunts around Easter, picking fruit in the garden, etc.). Amy’s space is always impeccably tidy, clean, and safe, and has been updated with new floors recently. She has a large variety of learning toys, books, and equipment that are organized and stored safely. Peter makes healthy meals and snacks every day. My LO actually became more regular once she started coming to Amy’s (TMI but it was an ongoing issue before my LO started coming here). I highly recommend Sunflower Daycare. Amy has many certifications and I trust her judgment in my child’s development. I appreciate her speaking honestly about what our LO is doing well and what she can work on. We feel lucky to be at Sunflower Daycare.
