We have been working with sylvan team from last 8 months for my 1st graded for reading classes. This has been a wonderful journey,my son loves the classes and teachers. It's been really helpful for his growth. We had tried kumon and brainstorm before but the amount of homework we got was way too much. Also they lacked the experienced teachers at the institution. I am sharing our breakdown of our experience and hope this helps you to decide what's best for your child. What we love about sylvan 1 Experienced teachers- ms Liz, ms Joan, ms Mary Ann, Mr Sam all are amazing teachers and they have great experience with the kids 2. No homework- No homework. you can track the progress of the skills online . We do two classes per week for best value of the sylvan coaching 3. Small and focused room- they allow a limited headcount which allows kids to learn in a more focussed session and less distractions 4. Front office support- ms Mary Ann who is at front desk is an amazing teacher and great support for parents. She always have best attitude, never pushes parents to choose anything they are not comfortable with. Always looking for best interests What sylvan can do better - they can have better online system to provide more feasiblity into kids work but if you struggle with you can always meet teachers who are very approachable - would love some more discounts ;)
