Parent Reviews
This review is a few months late, but I can honestly say that finding Tinycare in Mission Bay was such a lifesaver for our family. Shirley and the team at Tinycare welcomed our 2 year old daughter with open arms, and we watched her grow and develop each week song the way. When we moved to the East Bay, saying goodbye to Tinycare was one of the hardest things we had to do. We would completely recommend Tinycare to anyone looking for child care in the mission Bay Area. Every aspect of Tinycare exceeded our expectations!
My daughter joined Tinycare MB in August 2019 just as the location opened! She transferred from the SoMa location (where she had originally started in May 2019) due to convenience for us. She was 2 at the time and we truly can’t say enough amazing things about how well taken care of she was by Teacher Shirley and Teacher Doris (and the other teachers that fill in from time to time!) She was a very clingy 2 year old at the time she started (having not been in preschool/daycare before) and Teacher Shirley and Teacher Doris did an amazing job helping her transition to a full day of care and to really thrive! They were the perfect fit for my daughter and it was clear that she was very content and loved. Shirley, especially, has a very special way of connecting with the kids quickly, being silly with them and her laidback approach clearly helps kids feel comfortable quickly. My daughter also made some amazing friends (who she still talks about all the time!) in the 8 months she was there and we would still have her at Tinycare if we hadn’t moved farther away and she hadn’t aged out! The teachers and staff of Tinycare are very careful to make sure that each family’s voice is heard, that everyone feels welcome and that the kids are happy! We truly felt all-around taken care of during our time at Tinycare. Michael and the other founders of Tinycare are clearly working hard to make Tinycare an awesome experience both for the kids and the families!
Our 2 year old had a wonderful experience with Shirley and the team at Tinycare. It was his his first group care setting, and he thrived with the warm and supportive environment. He enjoyed the snacks and lunch, and he napped very well. We ended up leaving the program earlier than expected since we moved out of the city, and we haven't been able to find a comparable option in our new city. He bonded well with the other children and still references their names. We were grateful for his time at Tinycare.
Our daughter just turned 2 this month and she has been going to Tinycare for more than a year now. We could not hope for more. The teachers are amazing, they are taking such a good care of Emma. Their communication is on point, and that has been even more appreciated with everything that occurred this year. The meals are healthy and balanced. More important, I trust them!
There are no words to describe the incredibly amazing experience we've had with Tinycare Mission Bay! We'd give them 10 stars if we could. Our son was with a babysitter at home until we started Tinycare, when he turned 2. He seemed ready to have more interactions and interested in new activities. We were in no rush at all to find a place and really took our time looking at different options and programs in San Francisco. From our first conversation with teacher Shirley - who is truly gifted with a natural calling for what she does and is immensely experienced in early childhood education - we knew this was the right place and the right people for our next chapter. She - as well as teacher Doris - continued to amaze us by the quality of their program and their beautiful loving hearts. Everything about Tinycare is so well thought and intentional - the teachers, the space, the flow of the day, the interaction among the children, food, activities and how they help the little ones to develop their whole being in the most loving and and kind way. It is clear that the people behind it are there for their true passion - but are also super well trained educators, that really know what they are doing in early child development. The communication and connection with us is also remarkable, we were connected throughout the entire development process of our son. Needless to say that the transition from home/babysitter to Tinycare was flawless, our son loved it everyday and so did we. All other families were also amazing people and we feel like we will always have a connection with them and all the teachers and staff (hey teachers Ariel, Diana, Sisi & Sacha!). Our was going to outgrow the program, so when he turned 3 we enrolled him at a great Reggio-Emilia preschool, in the beginning of August 2020. He was so prepared, physically, emotionally and socially, and has been doing great in a bigger school with more rules and responsibilities. But he still says he loves his Tinycare teachers and friends :) and still asks to go to Tinycare! We can't thank Tinycare enough for what it meant, and will continue to mean, to our littler family. I'm expecting another baby due in October and will skip the nanny and go directly to Tinycare this time!
