Our older son recently graduated from Tzu Chi Great Love, and our younger daughter has just started there. The program is quite affordable compared with many of the other preschools we considered, especially because lunch is included, but its greatest strength is its character education. The change in our son has been night and day. When he began, he often wanted things done for him. Now he regularly asks, “How can I help?” He looks for ways to contribute, thinks about other people’s needs, and has developed a genuine concern for the wider world. When he hears about people affected by a natural disaster, he asks what we can do to help. Children naturally mature a great deal during the preschool years, but we believe Tzu Chi’s daily emphasis on kindness, gratitude, respect, responsibility, and service played an enormous role in his growth. We are deeply grateful for the person our son became during his time there, and that experience made enrolling our daughter an easy decision. We highly recommend Tzu Chi Great Love.
