My daughter goes to VLN and we absolutely love it. The teachers have been there for years, the owner Hilda genuinely loves every single kid, and they even have an in-house chef (yes, the lunches are amazing 😄). But honestly, what surprised me most is the community. You're not just dropping your kid off at school — you're joining a group of families who really look out for each other. If you're looking for a school where your little one will be truly loved and well taken care of, I can't recommend it enough.

I feel incredibly lucky to have found Hilda's bilingual preschool--Vivan Los Niños Preschool--for our son. As he gets ready to graduate and head off to TK, I feel confident knowing he has spent his preschool years in such a nurturing, kind, and supportive environment. Hilda, along with her wonderful teachers Marimar and Faela, are caring and skilled educators who treat every child as if they were their own. The atmosphere is warm and home-like, yet filled with enriching experiences. Every day, the children engage in creative art projects, enjoy homemade meals, and are guided in their learning with so much intention and love. One of the standout features of Vivan Los Niños is the sense of community that Hilda fosters. She hosts multiple events throughout the year--like a Mother's Day dinner, a winter holiday party, and a back-to-school night--that bring families together and help build meaningful connections between parents and caregivers. I look forward to seeing other parents at drop-off and pick-up and have made new friends through the community, for which I am grateful. Hilda also organizes field trips to the Oakland Zoo, where parents are invited to chaperone and get to know each other. Another unique and special opportunity the preschool offers is access to the Lab school at Merritt College for three and four-year-olds. Our son has been able to attend twice a week, and it's been a fantastic experience that broadens his learning and social environment in new ways. He'll be attending a Spanish immersion TK program and we feel confident that the language skills he learned at Vivan Los Niños will allow him to thrive there. I can't say enough good things about Vivan Los Niños. We're so grateful for the care and love our child has received here, and we're thrilled that our younger child will be starting this summer.
