The Woodland Preschool is a full-time adventure preschool located in the Kings Park neighborhood of North Springfield, VA. It is an English-spoken program that embraces the Scandinavian approach to outdoor learning in all seasons. The majority of the day is spent in nature. Mornings begin in the expansive backyard with a morning snack and circle time as children get settled, followed by a full morning of adventures in the adjacent forest. In the afternoon, children engage in indoor activities—held in our indoor classrooms—as well as venturing outside again for continued forest learning.
