We are a summer camp that aims to provide a fulfilling sense of discovery through exploring San Francisco's natural scenery. We have many Arts & Crafts and bus field trips around the city to keep your little one engaged with nature! All teaches are Pediatric CPR Certified and Mandated Reporters.

Peekadoodle Prep

With low student-to-teacher ratios, this program offers a balanced approach to learning, combining teacher-facilitated activities with open-ended play. Applications are accepted year-round for our quarterly program, and students are re-enrolled each quarter unless they choose otherwise.

2's Preschool Class

In this class, we develop confidence and independence at school, as we explore our “school self." We learn what is expected of us in the classroom environment. Our curriculum is based on a balanced approach, offering numerous opportunities for learning through play and teacher-guided activities.

Our Toddler Program provides gentle, Montessori-based care that supports early development in language, movement, independence, and social-emotional skills. Early Preschool

Between the ages of two and three brain power increases at an astonishing rate. Maximizing on this formative year, our Early Preschool teachers create a joyful and nurturing learning environment in which budding academic and social-emotional skills flourish. Early preschoolers grow in their independence, language, and thinking skills through a predictable and supportive daily routine which includes preparing them for the next chapter — Preschool! Note: Part-time programming is subject to availabilty.

Mandarin Bilingual

Stratford’s newly expanded Mandarin Bilingual program, beginning in Preschool*, builds upon foundational knowledge, skills, and concepts in our accelerated bilingual curriculum. Designed to promote consistency and continuity for young learners, Stratford’s rich STEAM-infused Preschool curriculum is taught by a two-teacher team, one speaking and instructing in Mandarin, and the other in English. This team teaching approach creates an inclusive and responsive space in which individual needs are met, ensuring students feel safe and secure to explore, take risks, and learn without limits. *Program and grades offered vary by campus.

Older Toddlers

Our classrooms are filled with endless learning opportunities to enhance children’s cognitive and language skills with basic academics through small-group activities that encourage investigation, exploration, and discovery. Our scaffolding approach is a critical component in teaching new tasks with multiple steps where our teachers provide support for students. Our children that are now engaging in short sentence conversions are able to absorb information within our curriculum that is designed to support creative expression, literacy and music by fostering their curious minds. By introducing skills that enable independence through enriching art projects and hands-on activities, we are ensuring they are able to expand concepts that were developed in Little Explorers.

Preschool

This classroom provides an enriched and challenging hands-on curriculum that continues to ignite children’s inner curiosity enabling realistic learning opportunities through a solid routine that brings out their creativity. Exploring world geography, reading multicultural literature, researching world cultures, playing traditional games are just some of the ways we are building a community of global learners. Throughout the learning process, our students are able to watch their teacher model, or demonstrate, each step in the task or strategy multiple times. Such modeling and repetition allows students to understand both how to perform each step and why each step is important. In this phase our children are practicing by applying their knowledge and developing it further by learning about the world and its food, music and clothing. Children will get to explore and experience various cultures Around the World.

Infants

In this class we brighten up the world by helping our youngest children discover their senses, explore their surroundings, nurture their development and celebrate their milestones. From one-on-one interactions that help build nurturing relationships in everyday moments to age-appropriate books to support speech and language development, our classrooms provide the ideal setting for the youngest children. We are also encouraging children to work on finger painting, music, and pretend play to spark creativity while also exposing them to structures to help with perceptual motor development. When children leave this classroom they will have a Brighter Beginning to the world around them.

We use a scaffolded approach to learning through systematically building on students’ experiences and knowledge as they are acquiring new skills in order to enhance learning and aid in the mastery of tasks. Their curious minds are exposed to an enriched curriculum focusing on language development by using pictures, books and basic academics in their environment. Following simple instructions is implemented through circle time, story time, art, and curriculum projects. Besides the social, emotional development, we also focus on developing fine motor skills through fun and sensory activities. Our Little Explorers are ready to put to practice their newfound independence by exploring their surroundings as they come with a Brighter understanding of their world around them.
