We started our daughter at AKA when she was 2 years 3 mos and she remained enrolled for three full years through her departure for Kindergarten. Our younger daughter is also at AKA, who started at 2 years 1 mos and is now 3.5 years. Our kids are quite different - the older child is somewhat reserved, and enjoys following instruction and learning in the traditional classroom environment. Our younger child is very energetic and silly and needs to wiggle and move A LOT in each day - the opposite of "reserved." Both kids have thrived at AKA, and we have felt so confident leaving them in the care of the teachers and staff every day. Each day they play, they learn, they are cared for. They've each learned a lot - including critical social emotional skills that are so important in pre-school. I would recommend AKA to anyone looking for a school that offers a great balance of play and academics and social emotional support: it's a very well-rounded school that is a great fit for many kids (including our two kids with very different personalities and learning styles). We feel so lucky we found AKA.
