Lead Preschool Teacher
Spanish Montessori Preschool is seeking a caring, responsible, and dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young children, or equivalent education and training that meets North Carolina child care requirements.
Experience may not be required for candidates who hold an applicable early childhood education credential or certification.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field is preferred.
• Montessori experience or training is a plus.
• Must meet applicable North Carolina DCDEE child care requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred/required.
• Passion for working with young children and creating a nurturing, respectful, and engaging learning environment.
Responsibilities
• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Follow Montessori principles and our Spanish immersion curriculum.
• Encourage children’s independence, confidence, and love of learning.
• Communicate positively and professionally with families and staff.
• Follow North Carolina child care regulations and preschool policies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Compensation & Benefits
• $16–$20 per hour, depending on education, qualifications, credentials, and professional experience.
