LEAD TEACHER

TITLE: Lead Teacher for New Creation Academy Center

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA, AA or Equivalent degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education and two years teaching experience or a CA Children’s Center Instructional Permit and /or a CDA plus five years teaching experience
• Must have an Early Education and Care / Office of Child Care Services Group Child Care Certificate, OR transcript
• verification of experience
• Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural
• Fundamental computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and the internet)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED Experience in childcare
• Child Development Association (CDA) certification or background in Early Childhood Education.
• 9 credits in Early Childhood Education
• One year paid or volunteer experience working with GCCSACC program
• Must meet federal and state health and safety standards and maintain credentials for childcare

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 36 months of experience if you have a High School diploma.
• 27 months of experience if you have a certificate.
• 18 months of experience if you have an Associate degree.
• 9 months of experience if you have a Bachelor degree.

REPORTS TO: Center Director / Site Administrator

SUPERVISORS: Center Director
