Substitute Teacher (Preschool & Daycare)

The Role
We are looking for flexible, caring Substitute Teachers to support our classrooms (ages 2 to 5). Because life happens, we need reliable hearts who can be available for:

Advance Scheduling: Helping us cover planned vacations or professional development.

Morning Calls: Being our "hero of the day" when a staff member calls out unexpectedly.

Shift Times: Our center is open from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; shifts vary based on need.

Responsibilities
Provide a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for children ages 2–5.

Support lead teachers in implementing daily activities and maintaining classroom flow.

Engage with children through play, reading, and creative exploration.

Maintain a helpful, "can-do" attitude while collaborating with our long-tenured staff.

You have a genuine love for early childhood education and a patient, caring heart.

You are reliable and enjoy the variety of working with different age groups.

You communicate with kindness and value being part of a close-knit team.

You meet the PA state requirements for childcare providers (we can help guide you through this!).

Not required, but we’d love it if:
You have at least 1 year of experience working with children.

You have a background in Early Childhood Education or a CDA credential.

You live locally and enjoy the flexibility of "on-call" opportunities.
