We absolutely love this preschool and feel so lucky to have found such a special place for our family. We’ve already had two of our children attend, and we fully plan to send our third when the time comes, which probably says more than anything about how much we love this school. With only 13 students and three wonderful teachers, the school has such a warm, intimate feel. Every child is truly known, cared for, and celebrated. The kids are incredibly happy to be there, and you can tell how much thought and care goes into creating an environment where they feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn. The curriculum is fantastic, engaging and age appropriate, with such a great balance of learning, creativity, play, and exploration. But what really makes the school so special is the sense of community. It truly feels like a little family, and there is so much genuine love and attention given to each child. Both of our kids have loved their time here, and as a parent, there is nothing better than knowing your child is spending their days somewhere they feel safe, happy, loved, and excited to go each morning. We couldn’t recommend this school more highly and feel incredibly grateful that all three of our children will get to experience such a wonderful place.

I am very happy with Brighton Preschool for my two children. My oldest went there and was very prepared for kindergarten the following year. She learned all her letters and was in the start of early reading when she graduated. The artwork that Brighton does with the kids never ceases to amaze me. We get so much art and creative work that comes home each day. My youngest daughter just started Brighton this past week and she has taken to the school very well, loves the organized structure of the morning mixed with the free play in the afternoon.

We love Brighton. It was such a great, positive, enriching environment for our older daughter five years ago, and our younger daughter just started and immediately loved it. There are countless activities and opportunities for fun learning. Every Friday there is a guessing game where the kids bring something that starts with the letter of the week, helping them to present in front of their peers, as well as learned their letters and words. Gillian is a supremely talented educator. The school is open year-round with less closures than our last Preschool and the tuition is also very reasonable for the area and the very high quality education.

My son was at Brighton Preschool for the past two years and my youngest just started there. We’ve had a wonderful experience at Brighton. The teachers are warm, fully engaging and loved by the children. They are always learning something new from the daily curriculum and they also love the special teachers that come in monthly for dance, yoga and playball. I appreciate that there are only 12 kids in the entire school. This helped make both kids’ transition from home to school less overwhelming. It has also meant our families have all grown close during our time at Brighton (especially as so many of us are now sending our youngest there). The school Is located up on a hill in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful views of Pacifica and the ocean. It is such a peaceful spot. It’s also conveniently located near HWY 1 and Sharp Park Road for anyone needing to commute. And, as is always a necessary factor when looking at schools - the tuition is reasonably priced. When I asked my son what his favorite thing about Brighton was he said “that they have fun things.” And his favorite thing about Teacher Gillian? “that she does Reading Game” (I too appreciate how Teacher Gillian is teaching them to read). Brighton was a special part of my son’s life and we all feel grateful to be part of the Brighton community.

Our daughter has only been at Brighton for a few weeks, and the transformation has been amazing to watch. She previously attended an in-home daycare that we loved, so we were nervous about how she’d handle a new environment. She tends to warm up slowly. That worry disappeared almost immediately. Teachers Gillian, Shannon, and Brandon have created such a warm, welcoming environment that made drop-offs painless. Now she asks to go back every single day. The curriculum has genuinely impressed us. She comes home with a bag full of new artwork daily, tells us about all that she is learning, and the range of activities, including yoga, dance, music, and play ball, keeps her engaged in a way we didn’t expect. We toured several other schools before choosing Brighton, and none had the same calm, nurturing, and controlled atmosphere (many preschools we visited were a bit chaotic) or the low teacher-to-child ratio that Brighton offers. One of the things that stood out most during the initial tour and subsequent visits, was how kind, helpful, and supportive the other children were toward one another. It says a lot about the environment and community the teachers (and parents!) have built, and it was honestly one of the main reasons we chose Brighton in the first place. We’re so glad we chose Brighton and would recommend it without hesitation to any parent looking for a place where their child will feel safe, happy, and excited to learn.

I first heard about Brighton Preschool from one of my friends who sent her two daughters here (over a decade ago!). After touring several preschools in SF, Daly City, and Pacifica, I can truly say that Brighton was the best decision for our daughter. The curriculum stood out right away to me. It's so well-rounded and includes activities like yoga, sports, ceramics, field trips, & cultural/career presentations. I think the student to teacher ratio here is great for the young age they still are. My daughter has absolutely thrived since she started last August. She is learning so much every day and I love seeing all the arts and crafts she proudly brings home. Beyond the classroom, we have found a true community amongst other Brighton families that we feel very lucky to be a part of. I am so grateful we found this preschool, and I couldn't recommend it more highly!

I highly recommend Brighton Preschool for early child education! Because of Brighton’s learning structure, my daughter became an early reader amongst her peers and has excelled in reading and math, and I have to thank the creative and academic curriculum that Brighton has provided. Brighton also provided a wonderful foundation and created life long friends and memories for our daughter’s first experience with school. Our family has been part of the Brighton community for several years; our oldest daughter is a proud graduate, and our younger daughter is currently enrolled. Having seen two different children thrive here, I can say with confidence that the environment Brighton provides is exceptional. The educators here are truly passionate. It is clear they genuinely love working with children, and that warmth is reciprocated--the kids absolutely adore them. There is a palpable sense of joy and safety the moment you walk in. While we always appreciated the school, it wasn't until my oldest started Kindergarten that I fully realized the value of the Brighton curriculum. She entered elementary school exceptionally prepared. She is currently excelling in reading, writing, and math, and I attribute a major part of her academic confidence to the foundation laid at Brighton. The curriculum is impressively diverse and immersive. It goes far beyond basic letters and numbers; the creative weekly themes keep the children deeply engaged and excited to learn every day. We are currently watching our youngest daughter go through the program, and the daily growth in her development and social skills is remarkable. If you are touring preschools, Brighton should be at the top of your list. It is a rare find that balances a rigorous curriculum with a nurturing heart. You won't be disappointed!

Our sons have attended Brighton, and it's a fantastic pre-school. After the first year, it was so good that we decided to hold our sons back from TK for additional years at Brighton, and then straight into Kindergarten. It's a happy, healthy, educational environment where it's so obvious that they care about the kids and are closely tracking their wellbeing and progress. Gillian, Shannon, Brandon, and Annie are great teachers and the kids love them. As a bonus, the parent community is pretty cool too!

Our oldest son went to Brighton Pre-School and his little brother is now at Brighton. It is an exceptional program - we rave about how amazing the Director Gillian is, as well as the incredible folks who work there (Shannon is amazing too). It is a happy place and a beautiful space (full of windows, natural light, wonderful outdoor play area with toys, swings, water tables, etc.). Kids are happy, organized, and busy playing and exploring different activities together. Decorations and toys change every month - e.g. this month is ocean month and there are treasure chests of treasure, shells, marine life toys, etc., and then next month will be dinosaurs, dinosaur costumes, books, etc. Schedule is incredibly detailed and well organized in the morning and then free play in the afternoon. And most importantly, the kids are well socialized and learn a ton. Our oldest entered kindergarten knowing all of his letters, all of his sounds, sounding out simple words (cat, box, run, etc.), all of his numbers, his shapes, and with strong handwriting. Really impressive stuff. Couldn't recommend more highly.
