Parent Reviews
We feel incredibly fortunate to have found Li’l Cubs for our daughter. She attended from around 1.5 years old for nearly two years, and it became such an important part of her early childhood. Every single day, she looked forward to going to daycare — which, as parents, meant everything to us. Regina (Gina) is truly exceptional. Her experience is evident in the calm, thoughtful way she cares for the children, and you can genuinely feel how much she loves what she does. The environment she creates is warm, safe, and nurturing. The daycare is located in a peaceful home with a spacious backyard, which provides a wonderful setting for young children to explore and grow. During her time there, our daughter developed so much — not only in language, but also socially and emotionally. We saw her confidence and communication skills blossom. We are deeply grateful for the love and care she received. We truly feel lucky to have found this daycare and will always look back on this chapter with appreciation.
Regina and Lil Cubs was a great experience for us. Our son had just turned two and it was the perfect experience for him to get some socialization with other kids, some structure and great learnings and preview of preschool. Regina creates a perfect environment with a small group of kids, fun and creative activities that helps them learn and get acquainted with rules, playing and learning together.
We had an amazing experience sending our first daughter to Li’l Cubs Playschool with Regina. Our daughter was there for a year before she started preschool. Regina really prepared her for school and sets up an environment for learning and developing. Our daughter loved going there and still asks about her beloved Gina, as the kids call her. Gina is a great communicator and keeps you updated about your kids day with pictures and info through the app, Brightwheel. We would absolutely recommend Li’l Cubs Playschool to anyone looking for a loving and caring home daycare setting for their little ones. We plan to send our second baby there when she’s a bit older.
We feel so incredibly fortunate to have found Regina and placed our 2-year-old daughter in her care; this daycare is truly a gem if you're looking for meticulous, warmhearted and thoughtful care for your child. Regina's place is always full of warmth and joy, and she would update us throughout the day with notes and photos, so we always knew what was going on. Unlike most other daycares, Regina is very deliberate in teaching the children while making it fun. When our daughter started preschool at the age of 3, she was well ahead of other children in counting and knowing her letters and full words. Our daughter definitely learned good manners from Regina too, with please and thank you's and great hand-washing habits! She has been so patient with helping us helpless first-time parents potty-train too. We became friendly with parents of the other children at Regina's, and they feel similarly about how wonderful it is to have our kids in her care. We are comforted to know that our child is incredibly competent and caring hands.
Thank you, Cindy! I am happy that I was able to be a part of your daughter's growth. I will miss all of you, especially her, here at Li'l Cubs. But, I am happy for her new adventures in the new school. Take care!
Regina did a good job of taking care of my son who started with her when he was around 2 years old. He always had fun, and Regina planned lots of activities paired with a good amount of outside time, and I feel he really thrived there! We. would still be there, if we hadn't moved!
Thank you Alanna! I am glad that he enjoyed being here at our daycare. He is such a caring and affectionate child and full of energy. We will miss him so much! I wish you and the family the best in your new home! Take care!
I can’t say enough wonderful things about Regina and Li’l Cubs Playschool! We were so nervous about sending our first child to daycare, but Regina quickly put us at ease. She is everything you could hope for in a caregiver and more. Regina is warm, empathic, patient, and attuned. She is a great communicator, quick to relay any concerns or observations, and she has been eager to partner with us to address any difficulties our son may be having in a way that feels good to us. Regina is also a brilliant, creative teacher at her core. Each week she delivers thoughtful lesson plans, often tailoring them to what she notices the kids are interested in and includes lots of play and sensory exploration. I’m certain her program rivals even the best preschools. Our son has flourished in her care. He returns home eager to tell us about his latest project at school and he is always excited to return to see Regina the next week. We’ve just had our second child and I am so looking forward to the day I can enroll him, so he can also benefit from Regina’s incredible care.
Hi Sarah, Thank you so much for the kind words! I love having your son with us! :D Trust is so important when it comes to child care for all parents' precious little ones. Infants and toddlers/preschoolers need a lot more patience as they are just learning to communicate their feelings and wants/needs. As children learn from me, I also learn from them everyday as I figure how I can connect with each of them. Thank you so much !
Li'l cubs Playschool is the first daycare for my child and he loves going there! Regina takes good care of my son with love and warmth. She is a very responsible, caring, genuine, and lovely teacher, someone you would want your child to be around. She openly communicates with me about him, which is another reason why I feel comfortable leaving him with Regina's care. I see a big smile on his face every morning when he sees Regina, and he wants to stay there longer during pick-up because he just loves her so much! Although he is not old enough to verbalize, I can tell from his smile and laugh how much he enjoys and has a great time with his teachers and peers. This means a lot to us. Whenever people ask me "how is your son at daycare?" I respond with confidence "He LOVES going there!" I feel so lucky that I found Regina's daycare for my son. He is thriving and I cannot thank her enough for being part of his life.
Hello Maki, Thank you! Your son is such a happy baby; always cheerful. At a young age, he already have a personality that is so magnetic. Parents always wonder how their children are doing in daycare. They also miss out on the developments while in daycare that is why I do my best in communicating how their children's day went and what new things happen. Thank you for trusting our daycare for your son. :)
My daughter was in Regina's class at Bright Horizons in Redwood City. She had recently turned two and this was her first experience in school. Regina's warmth, patience, and nurturing helped my daughter seamlessly transition to school - my daughter just gravitated towards Regina. In my interactions with Regina, I could see that she deeply cares about her students and finds ways to connect with each of them.
Regina cared for both of our children while they were in daycare at Bright Horizons in Redwood City. With her years of experience in early childhood care and education, we had the utmost trust in her ability to nurture, support, and provide for our kids. Her natural warmth and encouragement create an environment in which children have the opportunity to explore and grow. She brings a creative energy to the job, enriching the classroom with an age-appropriate curriculum that helps kids thrive. We are grateful for the time that our children spent in Regina's care!
I used to work with Regina at Bright Horizons for a few years. She assisted all classrooms, and I would get so excited when she would help our classroom out! I knew it was going to be a good and smoother day when she was with us because she was always trying to help us in any way that she could: cooking, diapering, circle time, speaking with parents... you name it. While the rest of us were overwhelmed, she never showed it. She would just wear her good sense of humor and calm demeanor, which would rub off on the rest of us. Regina is also amazing with children; I remember that they all just gravitated towards her during her first few days. That can take a long time for some teachers! She also knew all of the names of the children instantly, which was close to 100 children center-wide! If I had children and still lived on the Peninsula, I would 100% enroll my child to be cared for by Regina!
