Parent Reviews
We had an amazing time with Lisa. My daughter attended part time and full time daycare at Lisa's from 12 months, to 24 months and we are so glad that we found her. Lisa provides a warm, clean, educational and nurturing environment for children. I should also note that she cooks high-quality meals for the children. Our daughter thrived there and we definitely recommend it to others.
My son had a great time at Lisa‘s. Out of all the great things she offers, one thing I want to highlight is that she teaches and encourages the children to be independent. I agree with her philosophy: an independent child is a happy child. My son learned and developed so much in her care. Lisa taught me to let my son try and learn instead of doing everything for him. It was such an important lesson and for that I’ll thank her forever. We had to leave her due to our circumstances caused by COVID19 but we would’ve stayed otherwise. I also would like to mention she does a lot of volunteer work and cares a lot about her community.
My son enjoys going to Lisa's childcare every day and I always pick him up happy. It's obvious that Lisa is an experienced child care provider. He comes home with new words every day! They do lots of puzzles, read books, dress up, paint and go on neighborhood walks. Lisa sends pictures throughout the day. Her place is very clean, bright and well organized. A big plus is that she provides healthy, home cooked lunch and snacks. I recommend Lisa's childcare!
Finding reliable, nurturing, affordable childcare in SF is hard to come by. Lisa's is all of the above and more. We like that her environment is school-like with a variety of different activities to choose from. Some days start with puzzles, others begin with putting on an apron and playing at the kitchen or reading books. Lisa plays calming children's music in the background and our child is happy at both drop-off and pick-up. We have never questioned her ability to care for the children and would highly recommend her to anyone in the area.
My husband and I are so grateful that we found Lisa. As first-time parents with no family close by to help out, Lisa is more than a childcare provider but also a parenting coach to me. My son had never been apart from me for more than an hour when he started at Lisa's at 6 months old. At that time, he refused to take a bottle from anyone but me, and was a big nap striker. Lisa worked patiently with him, and now at 9 months, he takes a bottle from her, and he loves the home-cooked meals she provides. She also introduced us with a sleep schedule that works like a magic. My son still struggles with naps but he is much better than when he first started. At night he constantly sleeps at least for 10 hours. She provides us with a lot of useful tips and advice which I really appreciate. She has more than 30 years of experience with childcare but also keeps herself up-to-date by attending workshops. My son developed so much after he started going to her daycare, and my life has a structure now. (I work from home and used to watch my son myself at home, which was very chaotic and isolating.) I strongly recommend her for any parent who is looking for a reliable and experienced childcare provider who practices evidence-based childcare.
Our family had a wonderful experience with Lisa's Family Child Care. As first time parents, we were looking for a caregiver who could partner with us and Lisa was a great partner! She got our daughter on a nap schedule asap and had other tips for us when we had teething/sleep challenges, etc. The day care was clean and organized and physically structured well. As an added bonus, Lisa provided great meals for our daughter- that was HUGE! We feel lucky to have found Lisa when we did, a wonderful caregiver and partner.
