Program focuses on the belief that children have the capacity to learn and develop through play, sensory experiences, and exploration. Creativity and curiosity are encouraged to promote collaborative learning, whole-child development, social and emotional growth, and respect for nature. Kindergarten readiness and life skills are cultivated as children learn to take risks, make observations, ask questions, and build positive relationships.

We have been with Parks Plus since my son was 18 months, starting with the parent participation program to now the two-mornings-a-week “Spire School”. The teachers are nurturing and creative - coming up with developmentally appropriate activities and encouraging all kinds of explorations in the forest. I am constantly amazed at how well the teachers are fostering learning, including social emotional learning, with just props in nature and a fantastic understanding of early childhood education.
Our son is in the TK program and the experience has been phenomenal. Amazing, caring teachers that provide their students an environment for tremendous learning and growth shaped by the outdoors of San Francisco. Highly recommend it!!
We are SO happy with Parks Plus. Our toddler is in their younger kids preschool, we also did their parent attended class when she was younger. The school does a great job of fostering creative play and exploration; it's always a great day when we pick her up and she's filthy. Recommended without hesitation'
