We recently enrolled our two-year-old daughter at Potrero Space Preschool a month ago, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. From day one, it has been a positive and enriching experience for both our daughter and our family. The Mandarin immersion program has been a great bonus. Our daughter is already picking up a few words, and it’s heartwarming to see her enthusiasm for the language. The teachers here are incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely invested in each child's development. They create a nurturing environment that makes our daughter feel safe and excited to learn. The preschool’s daily schedule is thoughtfully designed with a variety of activities and projects that keep the children engaged. From arts and crafts to interactive play, there’s always something new and stimulating for them to explore. Our daughter comes home with such joy each day. The provided healthy meals are a great help too! We also appreciate the strong communication from the teachers and the school. We receive regular updates daily on what our daughter is learning and how she is progressing along with pictures on the app. It’s clear that Potrero Space Preschool is committed to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Overall, it has been a fantastic choice for our daughter’s early education. We’re delighted with the quality of care and the educational experience she’s receiving. We highly recommend Potrero Space Preschool to any parents looking for a nurturing and engaging preschool with a unique language immersion program.

We looked at about 10 different daycare/preschool options in SF and found the staff at Potrero Space to be super welcoming and lovely. We found the school on a Winnie page and learned that the school just opened in January 2024 (we enrolled in July 2024). After we toured the facility we were invited to a open house on the weekend where we got to bring our almost 2-year old daughter to check it out. We also got to meet a few of the parents. We ultimately chose Potrero Space because we felt the staff went out of their way to make our family feel comfortable and we're so happy we did. We're going on week 4 of having her there and she's been thriving. Even during the first week she was eating normally and taking naps of up two hours. We previously had her in another daycare and at that place she would only nap for 30-45 minutes max, it was such a relief she adjusted so quickly and I credit it to the staff. After week two, she stopped crying and looks forward to going to school. We constantly get pictures and videos about what they are doing everyday and it's been so fun to see the activities (I'm sad I don't get to be there). I'll also mention that she hasn't gotten sick yet - the facility is spotless and clean (no shoes inside). She's also already picked up two Mandarin words and probably more! I highly recommend this daycare/preschool.

I was in urgent need of daycare for my ~almost 3 year old daughter a few months ago and stumbled into this place through Winnie. I am so, so relieved to have found it! The teachers are absolutely wonderful, caring and diligent about making sure these toddlers get plenty of attention and instruction. We get frequent updates about what they're up to and I laugh out loud all the time from watching videos of their antics. The school itself is extremely spacious, clean, welcoming and bright (I was in awe of the miniature toilets and low sinks). They even have a small playground in the back! Their day to day includes snacks, lunch, a nap, and lots of activities that seem to keep them busy. I certainly appreciate the morning routine of them tracing the letters in their own names. That's how my little one has learned how to spell her own! Neither my husband and I speak mandarin but miraculously, our daughter has been picking it up. I can say it's a relief to know she's capable of absorbing more than we speak within our own household. We were also concerned about the initial transition from a nanny share to a daycare in the beginning, which admittedly was challenging to see for the first few weeks but it's gotten a lot better due to the patience and support of the teachers. For anyone looking for a daycare (and not just an immersion program), I highly recommend Potrero Space Preschool. It's been a life saver and I honestly just wish we found this place earlier.

We have been very happy with our decision to enroll our 2.5 year-old son in Potrero Space, a new Mandarin immersion preschool. The teachers are exceptional, fostering a nurturing environment where our child is thriving. The indoor and outdoor spaces are incredibly spacious, allowing plenty of room for exploration and play. Our son is very active and this was an important factor for us. Thanks to the immersive setting and engaging activities, e.g singing, dancing, art projects, local field trips to the library, he's rapidly learning more Mandarin. Morning/afternoon snacks are provided AND lunch which is incredibly helpful. It's nice to witness his connections with the other kids, and the parent community has been wonderful. But above all, seeing him happy every day is the greatest testament to the quality of this preschool. We couldn't be happier with our choice!
