Our family had an exceptional experience at Montessori School of Lorton, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to parents looking for a strong, nurturing, and academically solid start for their children. Both of our children attended this school, and when they transitioned to kindergarten, they were more than ready they were confident, independent, and academically prepared. Today, they continue to excel, and we attribute much of that success to the foundation they received here. A huge part of that success is due to Ms. Margaret, who is truly an extraordinary educator. She is patient, intentional, deeply knowledgeable about child development, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. She doesn’t just “teach” she observes, guides, encourages, and brings out the best in every student.

My daughter is very advanced than other kids in her age, she also starts reading in early age due to ms Margaret method of teaching. We had a wonderful experience with Margaret at the school where she worked before she started the Montessori 'school of Lorton. Ms. Margaret helped nurture and guide our child throughout her early educational experience. Ms. Margaret is kind, patient and truly devoted to all of the children that she works with. When Covid hit during our child's final year at preschool, Ms. Margaret joined Zoom calls with her students to check in and to support them through such a challenging time. She continued to support our daughter during virtual kindergarten with frequent check-ins and Zoom sessions to support her and to help build her confidence. We will be forever grateful to Ms. Margaret for instilling the love of learning in our child.

My husband and I are completely understating it when we say that the Montessori School of Lorton is AMAZING! Ms. Margaret is absolutely amazing. Our two year old daughter adores her and the songs that they teach in school. She comes home happy with so many new things that she has learned from school. During bath time, she erupted into a song about the continents of the world! It was the sweetest thing to see. Ms. Margaret is patient, and gives her LOVE and encouragement to the children in this school. She is a wonderful teacher who puts the needs of the children first, and understands that the children are different; she adjusts her style in each child's learning abilities, and she is supportive when our daughter doesn't get it right the first time. This school has made us realize that our child will thrive in an environment where she is heard, supported, and nourished. Ms. Margaret had done an amazing job, incorporating fun and learning. What we really love about this school is the subtle energy it has in our child. Whenever we drop off our daughter, there's always a sense of calm and peace, because the kids know how to behave and respect each other. We've visited a few schools and some just don't have the sense of care that this school has. We're so blessed to have put our daughter here and we can't wait how she progresses, with the help of Ms. Margaret and the other kids here.

MSL has been an answered prayer for me and my family. Both my children attend this school and we have witnessed their growth and development throughout their time. We appreciate so many aspects of the school, including the bi-weekly newsletter which allows my husband and I to come alongside the instructor in the education of our children. Our son is reading because of Ms Margaret’s intentional, patient and dedicated teaching. He is thriving at this school! Ms Margaret is very passionate about the Montessori way of learning. You can see how much she invests in the school materials and the content the kids learn. The biweekly newsletter she sends is full of what the kids learned.
