Parent Reviews
Ruth, who runs Rutty's, and her assistants are AMAZING. This is a small, warm, happy and caring family-run daycare. We are SO happy to have found it. As a first time mother I was so anxious starting daycare for my daughter, Ruth quickly built a strong relationship with us (and our daughter of course), which allowed me to relax. I have a lot of trust in Ruth and her team now. Our daughter is so happy to go to school here, and it's evident she is having the best time ever. Every day we drop her off all the kids clap, greet, welcome each other and she goes running-crawling in! We started at Rutty's when she was 10 months old. The activities are wonderful, and she is learning so much. Before starting daycare, I would never have been able to do all the fun projects Ruth provides. Also, all the socializing with the other kids is fantastic. Since we have been there there are about 5-6 kids total, ranging from 6 months to three years. It's fantastic seeing them all learn from each other. They are such a fun, engaged and cute baby-toddler gang together. The daycare has lots of space, light and a backyard with a mini playground. Everyday the children are involved in multiple educational activities, free-play time, and we get tons of photos and a report card at the end of the day with all the logs on mood/activities and food/drink/diaper info. Rutty's provides lunch and snacks, or you can bring your own. I highly recommend Rutty's and am so grateful this has been our first group childcare experience.
5 Stars! Would give 6 if we could! Ruth and Rutty's Little Explorers has been such an amazing experience for our daughter who started there at 6 months old. We feel so fortunate to have been able to receive the love and attention from all of the friends at Rutty's. We can' recommend Ruth and friends enough, so if you're looking for an awesome daycare experience in the Mission in San Francisco, please give them a call.
Our daughter has been at Rutty’s little explorer daycare for almost 2 years. Ruth has provided a very loving and nurturing environment for her. Everyday there are new activities tailored to her age and interest. Ruth also worked with us to help Potty train our daughter and teach her how to help clean up. Our daughter came home and would use sign language and please and thank you’s to communicate with us. Ruth sends photos so we can see what she is up to every day. We loved our experience here and will be sending our son to Ruth soon too (at ~6 months). When Ruth found out we were pregnant she bought appropriate books and toys and got our daughter excited for her new sibling which was incredible. We have a family member who has an advanced degree in child development, who we went to when deciding on care. She was consistently impressed with the activities Ruth put together, and how much of what she does is exactly what is taught and evolved appropriately as our daughter got older. We cannot say enough good things about Ruth and her family
